The Medici's grandest address
Experience the grandeur of the Medici family with timed entry to Pitti Palace, one of Florence's most iconic landmarks. Begun in the fifteenth century for the banker Luca Pitti and later purchased by the Medici, the palace became the official residence of Florence's ruling families, Medici, Habsburg-Lorraine, even briefly the royal house of a newly united Italy. It remains the largest palace in Florence, and walking its state rooms is the closest the city offers to stepping directly into aristocratic life.
The Palatine Gallery and Royal Apartments

With timed entry there's no queueing away your morning: dive straight into the art, take the rooms in whatever order pleases you, and stay as long as the collections hold you.
Good to know
The ticket includes timed entry with access to the Palatine Gallery, Royal Apartments and other select galleries. A guided tour and audio guide aren't included (audio guides can be rented on site). Full names and dates of birth of all participants are required at purchase, and valid ID must be shown on arrival, bring ID for reduced categories too. The palace is wheelchair accessible, though some areas are limited, and photography is fine without flash in most rooms. Pair it with the Boboli Gardens behind the palace for a full Medici day on the quieter side of the Arno.
