What's the dress code at the Vatican?+
Shoulders and knees covered, no exceptions. Bring a light scarf in summer — they'll turn you away at security otherwise.
Can I bring a backpack inside?+
Anything larger than 40×35×15 cm must be checked at the free cloakroom. Strollers are allowed in the Museums; not inside the Basilica.
Is early access really worth it?+
Yes. The Sistine Chapel is genuinely empty for the first 10–15 minutes — the difference from the 11 AM crush is hard to overstate.
Does the Vatican tour include St. Peter's?+
Yes — we end at the Basilica via the cleric's corridor, which skips the second queue. The Basilica is included but optional.
