Continue the visit inside by discovering the Museo Pio-Clementino, one of the earliest and most significant sections of the Vatican Museums. Home to ancient artefacts and Sarcophagi, in this first part your tour guide will introduce you to “ The Laocoön and His Sons “, an ancient Greek sculpture depicting the Trojan priest Laocoön and his two sons being attacked by sea serpents. This very statue is said to be one of Michelangelo’s biggest inspirations and can be seen in his later work. Your Tour will then continue to the 3 main Galleries inside the Vatican Museums: The Gallery of Maps, Gallery of Tapestries, Gallery of Candelabra.
